First Day of MBG Program in S. Jakarta Targets 2,972 Students

The first day of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) in South Jakarta, targeted 2,972 students from early childhood education to high school and equivalent levels.

We'll evaluate the results of this monitoring for better results in the future

South Jakarta Mayor, Munjirin said today's MBG distribution was through the Kemang Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).

"Together with Jakarta Provincial Government, DPD, and others, we did monitoring at SDN Bangka 01 Pagi, Mampang Prapatan, which received a total of 261 MBG packages," he expressed, Monday (1/13).

He explained along with SDN Bangka 01 Pagi, SPPG Kemang also distributed MBG to 16 other educational units.

"We'll evaluate the results of this monitoring for better results in the future," he explained.

He hoped that this program could provide nutritious food for all children in South Jakarta, thus they become a healthy and smart generation.

"We want superior human resources to welcome the golden Indonesia of 2045," he explained.

The program received appreciation from DPD Senator, Happy Djarot.

She uttered evaluation and input were needed, including regarding adjustments to food portions and menus for each school level.

"Hope this can run smoothly and also need support from parents of students. This is because school children have been given nutritious food, please parents at home also apply good eating patterns," she hoped.
