BPBD Delivers 1,000 Life Jackets to Seribu Island

Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) takes proactive step by preparing life jackets and other equipment in mitigation and resident rescue on Seribu Island.

BPBD delivered 1,000 life jackets to Seribu Island as part of preparation facing potential of disaster in the area.
Jakarta BPBD Agency Head, Isnawa Adji said the effort is part of agency's commitment in ensuring resident's safety and preparedness in facing disaster, especially related with extreme weather and flood.

"Hopefully the life jackets are able to give comfort for residents are minimize the disaster risks. Please maintain the equipment well," he said, Tuesday (1/14).
He added that the agency keeps improving the capacity and preparedness in disaster management via various training programs and preparing supporting equipment.
"We appeal residents to remain vigilant and comply with information and instructions from BPBD related with weather situation and potential disaster," he stated.
As for information, Jakarta BPBD has prepared disaster mitigation and handling equipment at Seribu Island BPBD Post on December 22, 2024.
Those are 106 life jackets, six rubber boat equipment, six rowing boats, two polythene boats, two PE 3 boats, one refugee tent, two post tents, one aluminum ladder, four jute ropes, two rubber boats, 19 velbeds, two 24-liter gas tanks and one mopel hose.
Then one unit of 30 PK boat engine, one split AC unit, one set of toolhand sockets, seven cable rolls, one set of isko tools, one grinder, six light bulbs, 10 tarpaulins, 80 blankets, two rolls of 50m copper cable, one Yamaha ET 950 generator, one welding machine, one drill, one set of electrical toolkits, one generator unit and one package of eating utensils.
Next are 30 units of fans, six pallets, one unit of BPBD's communication tool, six folding paddles, one drill bit, 12 lamp fittings, three grinding bits, one crowbar, one trolley, nine black puzzle sheets and two assembly point boards.
