North Jakarta Food Security, Marine, and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency held a free cat sterilization service at West Plaza Gazebo of North Jakarta Mayor Office with a target of 100 cats.

North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Unang Rustanto conveyed, the free sterilization service was held in collaboration with Jakarta Animal Health and Animal Husbandry Service Center (Pusyankeswannak) and Cat Lovers Community.

"Cats that have been neutered will be marked with ear tip. We also give free cat food in this activity," he added.
According to him, this sterilization service was held for free to help underprivileged residents and those who have more than one cat.
"This activity will continue. Even in this year we also target to sterilize 2,000 cats," he stated.
Meanwhile, Putri Nurshafa (20), a resident of Papanggo Urban Village, expressed her excitement and appreciation to the local government for holding the cat sterilization activity.
"This service can help me save more money and the requirements are also easy. Hopefully, this service can help control the cat population," she said.
