We also cooperate with National Park and local urban village heads

Mustajab said the constructions will begin in March 2025. The embankments aim to prevent abrasion and also function as a ring road.

"The review is to ensure the construction plan on the north side of Kelapa Island, the north side of Tidung Island and the southwest side of Lancang Island," he said, Wednesday (1/15).

Mustajab explained the embankment construction on Kelapa Island is planned along 830 meter, on Tidung Island along 140 meter with 530 meter of breakwater, and on Lancang Island by 140 meter.

"We also cooperate with National Park and local urban village heads for the constructions," he explained.

He hopes the local residents are able to support the embankment construction by not filling in the coastal area behind the embankment.

"The embankment is useful and supports the tourist destination. It means the residents and tourists are able to enjoy the beach with its beautiful waves sound," he stated.

Meanwhile, Kelapa Island Urban Village Head, Muslim thanked and appreciated the sub-agency for constructing the embankment in the area.

"We're supporting the construction much. The residents can also enjoy the coastline from the ring road, running and cycling with the embankment. It eases resident activity on Kelapa Island," he said.
