Acting Governor Teguh Supports President's Call on Budget Savings

Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi is gearing up to support Presidential Instruction Number 1/2025 on Spending Efficiency in the 2025 State Budget (APBN) and City Budget (APBD).

We support this call and this will also be followed up with derivative regulations

He explained the derivative of the presidential instruction had been prepared and was being designed in the form of a draft gubernatorial instruction.

"We support this call and this will also be followed up with derivative regulations in the form of governor's call and it is in draft form already. Everything will be completed according to schedule and immediately implemented," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release, Monday (1/27).

He explained he and his staff continue to monitor the budget for potential savings. Regarding this matter, he also intensively communicates with the governor's transition team.

"The most important thing is to support their priority programs (Governor and Vice Governor-elect) who will soon be inaugurated and support other national programs. Moreover, its inauguration is only a matter of days away," he explained.

He made sure the budget amount to be saved was being prepared and would be optimized as best as possible.

" This is most of a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). So, we haven't reached the detailed budget calculation stage yet. This is just a preliminary procedure. If I can solve this, it will certainly be very helpful," he stressed.

He asserted the mapping to determine which budgets would be saved was done through a thorough checking process in terms of allocations and budget sources.

"Budget savings allocation is still being mapped out, whether it is from official travel or from certain meetings. It's still being observed to be in line with the Central Government's direction and what will be stated in the governor's call," he closed.
