Jakarta international running race 10K preparation that is held to commemorate Jakarta 487 Anniversary in Monas Southwest Cross (Silang Monas Barat Daya) on June 8 is hampered due to 18 holes found on the route that will be passed by national and international runners.

Head of City Sports and Youths Department, Ratiyono, said that based on rechecking on Monday (5/21) dawn, 18 holes need to be patched and it is still found bumpy road that need to be fixed.

He admitted that this year implementation coincides with Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) construction project. However, the project is ensured not to disturb this 11-times-running race. “Coincide with MRT project, but it does not matter. Basically, the road should be flat and not bumpy,” Ratiyono acknowledged.
Just like previous years, the route will pass Monas Southwest Cross-Jalan MH Thamrin-HI Roundabaout-Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-Semanggi-Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-HI Roundabaout-Jalan MH Thamrin- Monas Southwest Cross.
This running race is divided into three categories: elite international, elite national, and public. The total prize reaches Rp 900 million. “We hope Jakarta sport enthusiasts are increasing so that the participant number can be bigger than previous year,” Ratiyono hoped.
