Jakarta DPRD Commission D Legislator, Bun Joi Phiau supports the Jakarta Government's efforts through related agencies to accelerate flood handling in Jakarta.

This aims to help residents' mobility return to normal

According to him, available resources must be mobilized to drain floodwaters in residential areas and on roads.

"This aims to help residents' mobility return to normal," he expressed, Wednesday (1/29).

He explained mobile pumps should be optimized to suck up floodwaters. To support it, storm drains must function well.

"They (pumps) must be used optimally to speed up the receding water," he explained.

Even, he urged Jakarta Government and residents to increase their awareness of the potential for flooding due to extreme weather in the upstream areas and Jakarta.

"Vigilance must be intensified in flood-prone areas," he asserted.
