Acting Governor Teguh Launches 15 Green Open Spaces

Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi launched 15 Green Open Space (RTH)s that were completely managed in 2024. The launching was signed by signing 15 green open space inscriptions at City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday (2/3).

The 15 green open spaces are nine parks, three city forests, two cemeteries, and one green open space.

"After the signing, I appeal the Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency to keep completing the arrangement for the sake of society's comfort," Teguh said.

Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency Head, Bayu Megantara, explained that his side has completed quality arrangement for 15 green open spaces such as park, city forest, and public cemetery.

"We constructed or re-arranged the 15 green open spaces from the quality aspect with total length 4.8 hectare in 2024," he explained.

He added that his side will continue the effort this year.

"The number of green open spaces to be re-arranged this year could be higher. Totally 120 parks in Jakarta need to be re-arranged for their quality," he added.

According to him, his side will also monitor the completely re-arranged green open space.

"For the sake of society's comfort, we will maintain the green open space quality," he stated.
