Illegal Electrical Connection in Kebon Kosong Raided

To prevent fire incident due to electrical short-circuit, the Kemayoran Sub-District ranks is cooperating with PT PLN Disjaya to control illegal electricity connections in the flats in Kebon Kosong Urban Village, Central Jakarta, Monday (6/1).

PLN officers immediately disconnect illegal connections. And then secured the cable and the meter from the area.

Kemayoran Sub-District Head, Herry Purnama said the controlling is carried out after the PLN officers did a survey and found a lot of illegal electrical connections. This condition is considered to be very dangerous as the illegal connections could become a fire cause.

"PLN then decided to coordinate with the sub-district to control illegal connections in Kebon Kosong today," said Purnama.

According to him, as many as 100 officers were deployed to the field and divided into 10 teams. Until now, officers are still conducting sweeping in some flats that are using illegal electricity connections," explained Purnama.
