The Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) has started implementing the national free health checks program today, Monday (2/10).
The quota for participants is limited to 30 people per day
This program aims to detect disease risks early so that they can be addressed more quickly and to raise public awareness of healthy living practices.
Residents who want to participate in this program can register first via SATUSEHAT Mobile application to expedite the examination process.
Free Health Checks Tomorrow, Acting Governor Teguh Ensures Readiness of Jakarta Health CentersJakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) Head, Ani Ruspitawati said this program applies to those who register on the SATUSEHAT Mobile application.
She explained applicants would receive an examination schedule and choose a health center following their desired location.
"In the initial stage, the quota for participants is limited to 30 people per day, according to the Ministry of Health's directive. This number can be increased if health workers at the community health center can handle more participants," she expressed, Monday (2/10).
She explained health checks were not held in hospitals but in community health centers because medical personnel and facilities were already available.
Then the Free Health Check Program (CKG) included screening for various diseases, including diabetes, heart conditions, and the risk of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis.
Dental check-ups were also available, but only limited to examinations without procedures such as fillings or extractions.
"If a health issue is detected, the patient will be directed for follow-up at a community health center or hospital as needed," she uttered.
Every resident can participate in health checks once a year on their birthday, valid for up to 30 days thereafter. For residents whose birthdays have passed during the free health checks program on February 10, they can register and will be given time until April 2025.
If the check-up results show a healthy condition, the patients do not need to return until the following year. Conversely, they will receive education and recommendations for further check-ups.
"After the check-up, there will be an education session for patients to better understand a healthy lifestyle. If a disease is detected, there will be follow-up actions following each individual's condition," she added.
She added some health centers have special rooms for patients to avoid long queues. Aside that, services are divided by age group, for instance, children on a different floor from adult patients.
In its execution, there was no addition of new health workers but rather optimizing existing resources. Security officers at the health center were also on standby to help residents who had difficulty using the SATUSEHAT Mobile application.
"We've conducted simulations and so far, the services can run with the existing healthcare personnel. All health centers have also prepared special pathways so that patients can be served well," she closed.
