MRT to Parse Traffic Jam Better, Ahok Says

“The construction is waiting for the buildings demolishment in Lebak Bulus from Local Government,” said Director of PT MRT Jakarta, Dono Boestami when being contacted, Friday (6/5).

According to Boestami, the land for MRT construction should already be submitted in December 2013. But in fact, there is a land that has not been acquired on Jalan Fatmawati that earmarked for station. But it does not hamper the construction at all.

“But, there is no land acquisition along the main railway, except for some stations only,” he explained.

The train railway in question is the railway that designed from train station to depot. It is because the MRT railway is at the top, while its depot in underground. As planned, there would be two railways in the project and is targeted to complete in 2017.

As known, the National Police had granted a 1.2-hectare land to support the MRT construction on Wednesday (6/3). Over that grant, the City Administration is ready to provide them the compensation in form of 60 dorms, bridge as long as 40x8 meters, 2,500- square meters dam and canteen renovation. These compensation will be realized after the data asset collection is done.
