Welcoming Ramadhan, Satpol PP Cleans Ash-Shalihin Mosque

Ramadhan is just around the corner and many Muslims have made preparations to cleans mosques and musala (prayer room).

Hopefully, it will make the residents more comfortable in performing prayers

The cleanup this time can be seen at the Ash-Shalihin Mosque on Jalan Walang Baru, RT 07/07, Tugu Utara Urban Village, which is conducted by Satpol PP from Koja, North Jakarta.

Koja Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Roslely Tambunan said the clean-up action at the mosque is routinely held before Ramadhan as a form of genuine concern to help the community, especially the mosque worshipers.

"This involves 50 personnel assisted by PPSU from Tugu Utara Urban Village and mosque administrator," she expressed, Wednesday (2/26).

This action was done starting from the imam's place, the pulpit, the management office, the ablution area, the toilet, up to the parking area, and other points.

"Hopefully, it will make the residents more comfortable in performing prayers and other activities during Ramadhan," she hoped.

She added this also shows that Satpol PP is not only concerned with maintaining order but also plays a role in helping residents, including during religious moments such as Ramadhan.

"Besides the mosque, we also welcome the church and temple," she added.

This action received appreciation from Tugu Utara Urban Village Head, Sigit Riyanto.

He assessed it involved 15 personnel so that the cleaning could be done faster.

"This is our routine agenda in Ramadhan," he stated.

The same statement also came from Ash-Shalihin Mosque Caretaker, Supriyanto.

"This is a noble activity. Moreover, as we welcome the holy month of Ramadhan. On behalf of the mosque, we would like to thank all the parties involved," he closed.
