If prospective workers are constrained by language to work abroad, Rano suggested them to take language training first at the Jakarta Disnakertransgi Job Training Center.
“Deputy minister said there are 400 thousands of vacancies that can be filled by Jakarta residents to work abroad,” he conveyed.
Deputy Minister of Migrant Workers Protection Indonesia/Deputy Head of BP2MI, Christina Aryani mentioned that prospective workers can check out job opportunities abroad through BP2MI's booth at the job fair.
“There are job vacancies prepared starting from mediocre to high skills to work abroad,” she informed.
According to him, this year's target for job placement abroad is 425,000 people. He hopes Jakarta can also be a contributor to fulfill this quota.
Meanwhile, Head of Nakertransgi Agency, Hari Nugroho explained, the job fair at Tamini Square which was held from Wednesday (2/26) to Thursday (27/2) was participated by 40 private companies engaged in various fields with a total job vacancies prepared is around 2,000 vacancies.
“It is expected that this job fair can absorb at least 50 percent of the available workforce. This can help overcome unemployment issue in Jakarta,” he stated.
In 2025, his party has scheduled to organize job fairs in several batches. The second wave in March will be held three times.
Then, twice in April, three times in May, once in August, and the peak will be in December.
“In August, the job fair will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran. We will bring more than 100 companies with more than 5,000 job vacancies,” he uttered.
