Channel Normalization Progress on Jalan Boncel Almost Done

The water channel located on Jalan Boncel, RW 12, Penjaringan Urban Village is being normalized. The work progress has touched 80 percent.
It is targeted for completion this week
Penjaringan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, Pendi said the normalization was done to follow up on the Pejagalan Urban Village Head's proposal.
"The water doesn't flow smoothly and often causes flooding. After checking, a part of the sheet pile collapsed. Then the elevation of several points of the channel is no longer suitable," he expressed, Monday (3/10).
Commission D Commends SDA Agency's Efforts in Handling FloodsHe explained the normalization of the channel with 50 centimeters wide and 80 centimeters high was conducted along 20 meters.
"We send seven personnel to the location every day. It is targeted for completion this week," he explained.
Pejagalan Urban Village Head, Tomu Haryono hoped that the normalization would be able to minimize flooding, especially during heavy rain.
"Thank you and my appreciation for the personnel' fast and neat work. Hope the work will run smoothly until it is finished," he stated.
