In order to address and anticipate the spread of Tuberculosis (TB) in Jakarta, the Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission D asked Health Agency to collaborate with neighboring regions, such as Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi.

He asserted that synergy is necessary because the mobilization of residents from buffer areas to Jakarta is extremely high, making it challenging to detect the spread of TB.
Based on data from the third quarter of 2024, he revealed that there were 47,782 TB cases in Jakarta. This number is based on patients seeking treatment at health centers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
"This figure is not entirely Jakarta residents. There could be also residents from buffer areas who seek treatment in Jakarta," he added.
He stated that Jakarta has allocated Rp 100 billion for TB prevention and handling programs, which can be optimized to build synergy across regions.
"We will propose this during our work meeting with Health Agency," he said.
