Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, inspected the Jagakarsa Low-cost Rental Apartment (Rusunawa) on Jalan Margasatwa Raya, RT 01/06, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

According to him, the Jagakarsa Rusunawa, which is friendly to persons with disabilities, has a capacity of 723 Type 36 units. It is built with three towers, each having 16 floors.

He explained it is built over 406 days on an area of 1.9 hectares, equipped with various supporting facilities such as sports amenities, places of worship, and dining areas.

According to him, the second rusunawa in South Jakarta is also a solution to improve the living standards of Jakarta residents who have been living along the riverbanks.
"We've offered it to the residents affected by the flood. I said if they want to change their lives because they have been affected by floods for years, the solution is to move to the rusunawa," he explained.
He added the rusunawa with a minimum rent by Rp 865,000 has a separate payment method for electricity or tokens and water.
"This method is quite effective in addressing potential issues that may arise," he added.
He asserted it also has various easily accessible routes, such as access to Pondok Labu Market, Fatmawati Hospital, Pasar Minggu Regional Hospital, and private hospitals.
"Hopefully, the Jagakarsa Rusunawa built for residents with Jakarta KTP will provide broad benefits and foster positive collaboration between the community and the government in building a better Jakarta," he hoped.
