Food Commodity Distribution to Seribu Islands Runs Smoothly

The distribution process of various food commodity products for the Cheap Market Bazaar to Seribu Islands has been running smoothly until today.

Today, the delivery is heading to Tidung Island, North Seribu Islands

The statement above was emphasized by Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno when he checked the condition of the food product transport boat at Marina Pier, Ancol, North Jakarta, Thursday (3/20).

He mentioned there wete 11 tons of food commodity products sent in stages to Seribu Islands.

Food Monitoring and Supervision Held at Kebayoran Lama Market

The initial delivery process was conducted on Monday (3/10) to Pramuka Island, followed by Kelapa Island, Kelapa Dua Island, and Harapan Island on Monday (3/17).

"Today, the delivery is heading to Tidung Island, North Seribu Islands. We've already inventoried our food product needs. If there's a shortage, we will add more," he explained.

Economy and Finance Acting Assistant, Suharini Eliawati added various food commodities sent to Seribu Islands were cooking oil, rice, flour, soy sauce, syrup, and sugar.

According to her, this food commodity would be marketed at an affordable Highest Retail Price (HET), to anticipate shortages and price increases in Seribu Islands, especially during extreme weather.

"Jakarta Government keeps striving for food prices in Seribu Islands to be the same as in other regions. At least, the difference with the mainland is not too significant," she stated.
