He explained raids were intensified around the mall area, parks, and Kelapa Gading Shophouse area. Those netted were predominantly beggars, scavengers, traffic marshals, and homeless people.

"Herein, we involved 30 officers from Kelapa Gading Sub-district, Social Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency, and army/police," he explained.

According to him, they were then taken to the Cipayung Insan Bangun Daya 2 Social Rehabilitation Center, East Jakarta for training and skills development, thus they would not return to the streets and disturb the community.

"We do it humanely, firmly and without violence," he stressed.

The raid received appreciation from Kelapa Gading Sub-district Vice Head, DTM Rahmat Syahputra.
