Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin supported the Jakarta Provincial Government's plan to recruit firefighter personnel this year. He also supported Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Agency to add volunteer for RW level.

Khoirudin asessed that the number of firefighter personnel and residents are not comparable. It is hoped the services to residents can be maximized by adding the firefighter personnel and volunteer.

He also appreciated agency's performance for serving many resident complaints.
"The agency's duty is not only handling fire, but also rescuing. Some people called firefighter personnel to open their ring. So the personnel number must be added up," he added.
According to him, volunteers role at RW level is also important. Firefighter volunteers are the first to provide assistance if there is a fire or if residents need them.
"Volunteers are well trained too," he stated.
