Museums Remain Open During Eid Holiday

Jakarta Culture Agency has confirmed that the museums and tourist attractions under its management will remain open during the Eid holiday 2025 period.

"We want to ensure they have entertainment options that are not only fun but also educational,"

This policy is outlined in Circular Letter No. 324/SE/2025, signed by Jakarta Culture Agency Acting Head, Mochammad Miftahulloh Tamary.

According to the circular letter, all museums and tourist attractions will be closed on the first day of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, March 31, 2025. However, they will remain open as usual from April 1 to 7, 2025.

Jakarta Culture Agency Acting Head, Mochammad Miftahulloh Tamary, stated that the continued operation of museums and tourist sites during the Eid holiday provides a recreational alternative for both locals and tourists celebrating Eid in Jakarta.

"Many people remain in Jakarta during Eid, so we want to ensure they have entertainment options that are not only fun but also educational," he expressed, on Sunday (3/30).

He mentioned that the museums and tourist attractions managed by Jakarta Culture Agency can offer interesting places for families to enjoy a more meaningful holiday.

"Museums not only provide entertainment, but also serve as means to learn about history, art, and culture. This is an opportunity for the public to enrich their knowledge during the holiday," he said.

The museums and tourist attractions managed by Jakarta Culture Agency include the Maritime Museum, Historical Museum, Art Museum, Betawi Cultural Village, PKJ Taman Ismail Marzuki, and Cultural Arts Performance Building.

"Jakarta Culture Agency urges people to check the operational schedules before visiting and to maintain order and cleanliness while in the museum and tourist attraction areas," he conveyed.
