46,994 Tickets Sold at Gambir and Pasar Senen Stations on the Second Day of Eid

On the second day of Eid, the number of homebound travelers from Jakarta stations remained high, with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 1 Jakarta reporting 46,994 tickets sold on Tuesday (4/1).

"We recorded an occupancy rate of 98 percent,"

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko, stated that there were 85 long-distance train (KAJJ) trips on that day.

On Eid Day, 26,581 Travelers Head Out of Jakarta from Pasar Senen Station

"We recorded an occupancy rate of 98 percent across the 85 available KAJJ trips," he said.

Accordign to him, Pasar Senen Station saw a surge in occupancy, reaching 102 percent with 26,531 passengers. Meanwhile, Gambir Station recorded an occupancy rate of 94 percent, with 20,463 passengers.

During the Eid al-Fitr period, a total of 170 KAJJ trips were made, with 95,544 tickets sold and a 100 percent occupancy rate.

Furthermore, from March 21 to April 11, 2025, Daop 1 Jakarta recorded 286,754 passengers departed from Gambir Station and 466,625 passengers departed from Pasar Senen Station.

A total of 1,876 KAJJ trips operated during this period, with an occupancy rate of 73 percent. To accommodate the surge in passengers during the Eid period, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta provided an additional 380 KAJJ trips.

"The total arrivals in Daop 1 Jakarta reached 689,898 passengers," he added.

He revealed, from March 21 to April 11, 2025, the top destinations for passengers departing from Pasar Senen Station were Surabaya Pasarturi (24,427 passengers), Lempuyangan (23,485 passengers), and Kutoarjo (20,923 passengers).

Meanwhile, the most popular destinations for passengers departing from Gambir Station were Yogyakarta (34,866 passengers), Semarang Tawang (30,644 passengers), and Bandung (23,781 passengers).
