On Eid Day, 26,581 Travelers Head Out of Jakarta from Pasar Senen Station

The number of homebound travelers on the first day of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, on Monday (3/31), was still quite high, with 26,581 passengers departing from Pasar Senen Station.

"...with an occupancy rate of 102 percent,"

This figure shows people's high enthusiasm to celebrate Eid in their hometowns.

PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Ixfan Hendriwintoko stated, 39 long-distance train services (KAJJ) operated through Pasar Senen Station today.

"We recorded 26,581 passengers departing from Pasar Senen Station, with an occupancy rate of 102 percent," he informed on Monday (3/31).

Meanwhile, at Gambir Station, 22,909 homebound travelers were dispatched today, with an occupancy rate of 96 percent. PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta reported that 46 long-distance train services (KAJJ) operated to serve passengers from Gambir Station.

During Eid 2025 homecoming period from march 31 to April 1, 2025, a total of 93,136 tickets were sold for departures from stations in Jakarta.

He also mentioned that the occupancy during the Eid holiday reached 98 percent, with a total of 170 long-distance train services (KAJJ). Of these, 40,454 passengers departed from Gambir Station, with 92 train services.

"Meanwhile, from Pasar Senen Station, 52,682 passengers were dispatched, with a total of 78 train services," he added.

From March 21 to April 11, 2025, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta dispatched a total of 1,876 long-distance train services. The number of tickets sold reached 759,005 out of 1,048,328 seats, with an occupancy rate of 72 percent.

"PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has also prepared additional 380 long-distance train services, with a total seating capacity of 194,260," he explained.
