Backflow of Idulfitri Travelers Seen at Pulo Gebang Terminal

Entering D+4 of Idulfitri, Friday (4/4), the return flow of travelers is seen at the Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal, Cakung, East Jakarta.

The peak is predicted to occur on April 6 and 7

However, the peak will occur on Sunday (4/6) and Monday (4/8).

Pulo Gebang Terminal Team Commander, Badman Harahap said that since Tuesday (4/1) to Friday (4/4) morning, the number of travelers who returned to Jakarta via the Pulo Gebang Terminal was 4,642 passengers using 947 vehicles.

According to him, the return flow of passengers was dominated by vehicles from several regions in Java and Sumatra.

"The peak is predicted to occur on April 6 and 7, as office workers will start returning to work on April 8 and students will go back to school on April 9," he expressed, Friday (4/4).

Fitri (35), one of the travelers who just arrived from Pekalongan, Central Java, admitted to returning to Jakarta earlier, as she wanted to take a rest longer and visit neighbors and relatives who did not travel during Eid.

The woman who works at a private company in Cakung, East Jakarta, admitted her return trip to Jakarta experienced some traffic congestion on the Cipali and Cikampek toll roads, despite it was not severe.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), I arrived safely. I can rest longer before going back to work on Tuesday," she admitted.
