Backflow at Kampung Rambutan Terminal Increases as Mudik Return Flow Peaks

Entering D+4 of Idulfitri on Friday (4/4), the return flow at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Ciracas, East Jakarta, began to increase.

This number is expected to increase until tonight

The arriving fleet is dominated by vehicles from Central Java, West Java, and Yogyakarta.

Kampung Rambutan Terminal Head, Mulyono recorded that 11,175 passengers had arrived at the terminal using 924 fleets from Tuesday (4/1) to Friday (4/4).

On April 2, there were 1,998 passengers arriving at the terminal and 4,951 passengers on April 3.

"By 2 PM, there have already been 2,559 passengers. This number is expected to increase until tonight," he explained.

He added the number of returning passengers was far lower compared to the same period last year, which reached 29,125 passengers using 1,552 fleets.

One of the travelers from Brebes, Central Java, Sumarni (41), admitted she returned to Jakarta, as she had already enjoyed the Eid holiday enough in her hometown.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), I finally arrived in Jakarta. It's nice to be able to rest because I start work on April 8," she admitted.
