96,384 Tourists Swarm Kota Tua Area

During the holiday and public leave period for Idulfitri 1446 Hijri, from April 1 to 8, 2025, as many as 96,374 tourists were recorded enjoying recreation in the Kota Tua area of West Jakarta.

Kota Tua Management Unit Acting Head, Yayang Kustiyawan stated, tens of thousands of visitors were local and foreign tourists.
"The number of foreign tourists reached 1,723 people, while the rest were domestic tourists from all regions of Jakarta and outside Jakarta," he expressed, Wednesday (4/9).

"Outside of national holidays, the number of visitors reaches up to 1,000 people," he explained.
According to him, the Kota Tua area is an interesting tourist destination because of the many museums in close proximity, such as Jakarta History Museum, the Fine Arts and Ceramics Museum, Wayang Museum, and Bahari Museum, as well as iconic photo spots.
"As of yesterday, the Kota Tua area had still been visited by 5,953 foreign and domestic tourists until 9 PM," he expressed.
Meanwhile, one of the tourists, Bayu (33), admitted he visited the Kota Tua area to spend his holiday time cycling and taking selfies in front of the aesthetic buildings.
"I intentionally took a vacation at the end of the Idulfitri holiday, so I could enjoy exploring and the atmosphere wouldn't be too crowded," he finished.
