Binduk Operation to Raid Street Vendors in Monas

Through population operation (Binduk), the ranks of Central Jakarta Satpol PP will raid street vendors in the vicinity of National Monument (Monas).

We will ask the street vendors' identity and home, because the ID card made from old domicile and its residence in Jakarta is difficult to be detected

According to Maruli Sijabat, Head of Central Jakarta Satpol PP, his side and Central Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department will coordinate to hold the operation in order to arrange street vendors thoroughly.

“We will ask the street vendors' identity and home, because the ID card made from old domicile and its residence in Jakarta is difficult to be detected,” he expressed, Tuesday (6/16).

371 Newcomers in Palmerah Netted During Binduk Operation

Such operation also aims to simplify the Central Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUMKMP) Sub-Department to record the street vendors’ data. Later on, the data recording could be used to relocate them to a legal site.

“This is as an anticipation strategy to anticipate street vendors get into Monas, even we already asked the Monas management to lock the east side gate. If it is broken, the actor will be sanctioned,” he disclosed.
