Warga Apresiasi Perbaikan Tangga JPO Daan Mogot Yang Dicuri

Residents Appreciate Repair of Pedestrian Bridge on Jalan Daan Mogot

Local residents appreciate the repair of the pedestrian bridge stairs (JPO) on Jalan Daan Mogot, Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan Sub-district, West Jakarta, which were lost due to theft.

Thank you to the parties who quickly responded

Expressions of appreciation came from one of the bridge users, Abdan (43).

"If it is not repaired, I have difficulty crossing because the vehicles are numerous and speeding. Thank you to the parties who quickly responded to address the condition of this bridge," he expressed, Tuesday (4/15).

Bina Marga to Build Four JPOs with Modern Feel This Year

He hoped that the bridge could soon be equipped with closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras for the safety and comfort of the residents.

"At least CCTV should be installed if there are no guards present. This is to deter those who commit crimes and theft," he hoped.

West Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency's Road and Bridge Section Head, Khairul Imam explained, the hole in the bridge ladder was caused by several metal plates being stolen by irresponsible individuals.

"We've followed up with the team from the agency and the West Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency from morning until afternoon yesterday," he explained.

He deployed 10 personnel for the 15 steps of the iron ladder.

"This time marks the third patching in the last year. It has been done permanently or welded shut, but the thieves always find a way to dismantle and steal the metal plates," he explained.

He urged the residents to be more vigilant and monitor all bridges, especially along Jakan Daan Mogot, to anticipate similar cases by reporting to the authorities if there are any thefts.

"Let's work together to monitor. If there are any suspicious individuals, just confront or report them immediately," he stated.
