The Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Rano Karno, commutes to City Hall using public transportation from his residence every Monday, such as MRT Jakarta and Transjakarta.

"I take the MRT every Monday to my office, unless there is a morning agenda outside the City Hall," he explained, Monday (4/21).

Even, Governor Pramono Anung is aware of Rano's habit of using public transportation once a week every Monday.
"He (Rano) regularly takes public transportation every Monday. As for me, since I live in the official residence, it's close to the office, so I don't need public transportation," Pramono admitted.
The same statement came from Rano. He said, the Governor also considered the current condition of public transportation such as MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta to be quite good.
He proved this after repeatedly using various public transportation modes available in Jakarta, as he did today with Rano.
Besides celebrating Kartini Day, he and his partner intended to campaign for the community to switch from private vehicles to public transportation for daily activities.
"Traffic congestion can be resolved if private vehicle users switch to public transport," he stressed.
