Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung responded to the surge of applicants for Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling (PPSU) and Firefighter (Damkar) positions arriving at Jakarta City Hall.
"T he registration is actually be done at urban village, not at City Hall,"
He urged residents to register through their respective urban village office, instead of coming to Jakarta City Hall.
PPSU Recruitment Opened at Urban Village and District Offices"Firstly,
the registration is actually be done at urban village, not at City Hall," he stated on Wednesday (4/23).He explained that his side still accepts registrations at Jakarta City Hall as a part of city's commitment to transparency and to prevent practices of Corruption, Collusion, and Nepotism (KKN) in the recruitment process for Individual Service Providers (PJLP).
"However, the final decision will be settled at City Hall because I want to eliminate the issue of internal favoritism in the recruitment process for both PPSU and PJLP positions," he asserted.
He added that the high enthusiasm among residents applying for PPSU and Damkar positions is driven by the increased number of newcomers following the Eid holiday.
Regarding the opening date of registration, Pramono said that it has not been decided yet, but the recruitment quotas for PPSU and Damkar have already been determined.
"We have announced this job openings for 1,100 people this time, and early next year or by the end of this year, we will add 506 more. As for firefighters, there will be 1,000 positions," he conveyed.
For information, the Jakarta Provincial Government has advised residents not to go to Jakarta City Hall to apply. An online registration system is currently being prepared to simplify the recruitment process.
Residents can access information about job openings via Jakarta Government's official website at https://www.jakarta.go.id/loker or directly on the official website of the relevant agencies/units.
"We are developing a more practical and transparent system thus residents don't have to go all the way to City Hall to submit their applications. All can be accessed online," said Governor and Vice Governor's Special Staff for Social Communication, Cyril Raoul Hakim, on Tuesday (4/22).
He also appreciated the high enthusiasm of residents wanting to join PPSU and Damkar.
"We appreciate the enthusiasm of residents who want to work and help develop Jakarta together. But, all recruitment processes must be professional and based on capacity, without any interference or favoritism from any party," he mentioned.
