The dredging and repair of the 712-meter-long channel on Jalan VIY II RW 06, Cideng Urban Village, Gambir, Central Jakarta, which has been underway since early April, is targeted for completion within this week.

Gambir Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, M Imawan said 15 personnel were involved to execute the work every day.

He was optimistic that dredging and repair would minimize flooding when it rained.
