Jakarta Civil Servants Must Use Public Transportation to Control Congestion

Jakarta City Council Commission B Member, Wa Ode Herlina supports Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung supports the Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung's initiative requiring Jakarta's civil servants to use public transportation every Wednesday.

We fully support this policy 

The policy outlined in this Governor Regulation is deemed in line with efforts to control air pollution and traffic congestion in Jakarta.

"We fully support this policy because it is not just about transportation efficiency, but also about changing mindsets and lifestyles to be more environmentally friendly," he explained, Monday (4/28).

Civil Servants to Take Public Transportation every Wednesday, Pramono Says

According to him, it could also push increased use of public transportation modes such as Transjakarta, MRT, LRT, and trains.

He also appreciated the Jakarta Government's decision to provide free public transportation for civil servants during this policy period.

"By so, the public can see public transportation is indeed suitable and comfortable for daily use," he added.
