276 Vehicles in South Jakarta Undergo Emissions Test

Some 276 vehicles underwent an emissions test in an effort to reduce air pollution in South Jakarta along April 2025.

This aims to raise public awareness

Pollution and Environment Damage Control Section Head, Tuty Ernawati Sapardin said the free emission test is based on the Gubernatorial Regulation Number 66/2020 on Gas Emission Tests on Motor Vehicles.

"This aims to raise public awareness about the importance of maintaining healthy air quality and ensuring that vehicles meet applicable emission standards or not," she expressed, Friday (5/2).

Central Jakarta Holds Emission Test

She explained that along April 2025, this was held in two different locations targeting gasoline and diesel motorbikes and cars.

Of 276 vehicles tested, 154 were tested in the courtyard of the Jagakarsa Sub-district Office. 138 Of them passed the test and 16 others failed the test.

Then 122 vehicles underwent emission tests at Blok M Terminal, Kebayoran Baru. 111 of them passed the test and 11 others failed.

"This will be an education about the impact of air solutions and the role of riders in reducing emissions through routine maintenance to increase people participation for a clean and healthy Jakarta," she stated.
