Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the surge in applicants for the Public Infrastructure and Facility Handling (PPSU) personnel is partly due to the increase in newcomers to Jakarta following the Eid al-Fitr homecoming period.

"And those who came here are now looking for job opportunities,"

According to him, those newcomers are seeking greater job opportunities in the capital. As a result, public interest in joining as PPSU personnel is very high.

"Because after Eid, the number of people returning to their hometown decreased, while those arriving increased. And those who came here are now looking for job opportunities, one of which is PPSU," he conveyed at Jakarta City Hall, on Monday (5/5).

Pramono also ensured that the recruitment process for PPSU personnel will be conducted transparently and without any 'insider' practices. Therefore, he also monitored directly the recruitment process at sub-districts and city mayor offices.

"I said to ensure fairness, there should be no such thing as insiders, it must be transparent," he asserted.

He conveyed that the final decision regarding the acceptance of PPSU candidates will be based on criteria scores set by the city hall.

"The final decision will be based on the criteria score that will be set by the city hall," he mentioned.
