The attack and vandalism action in Lenggang Jakarta culinary area committed by street vendors a few days ago, causing Jakarta Provincial Government keeps vigorously guiding street vendors by providing them guidance location (lokbin).

“We insist to develop the lokbin in order to guide street vendors,” said Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat at City Hall, Tuesday (6/23).

Djarot asserted the street vendors must comply with public order that applied in the capital. One of them is by maintaining public facility such as sidewalk and road that has been misused by street vendors.

“They can't do anything arbitrarily. Besides, we have to focus on citizen's interest,” he insisted.

Regarding the vandalism action in Lenggang Jakarta, he suspected the anarchy action was organized well. Therefore, the police had named the actor behind the action.

“This is anarchy and I believe it was organized well before. That’s why, we involve police,” he finished.
