Local Residents Need Shortcut in Sodong Riverbank

The residents at RW 16, Cipinang Urban Village, Pulo Gadung seemed have to be more patient to get an ease access road. It is because the blind alley along Sodong riverbank still hampers though they have proposed to open it. Consequently, the residents have to turn around about 1 kilometer towards Jl Bekasi Timur Raya.

Hartono (50), a local resident had conveyed about the matter to Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat at the moment during his Safari Ramadhan visit on Jl I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Kebon Singkong, Klender, Duren Sawit, Saturday (6/20).
“We have been waiting for local government to realize our request to open that blind alley for the sake of public, but still no realization yet,” he complained.

Head of East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department, Juaini Yusuf admitted to survey the location. His side is ready to run physical construction and had a coordination first with City Bina Marga Department.
“We are ready to run it, indeed we have to check the construction detail first. If the budget appraisal is over than Rp 200-300 billion, then we gonna take auction process,” he disclosed.
