City Starts to Disburse KLJ, KPDJ and KAJ Social Assistance for May 2025

Jakarta Provincial Government through Social Agency remains accelerating the community welfare improvement. One of the ways is by disbursing social assistances in form of Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ), Jakarta People with Disability Card (KPDJ) and Jakarta Child Card (KAJ).

 expanded and more targeted

The disbursement began on May 23, 2025. Each recipient receiving Rp 300,000 per month. Total number of recipients this month reached 140,919 people. Those are 114,121 KLJ recipients, 13,950 KPDJ recipients, and 12,848 recipients.

Jakarta Social Agency Head, Iqbal Akbarudin said the social assistance disbursement is part of Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment in reducing the community expenditure burden for the elderly, people with disability, and children from underprivileged families.

16,530 Residents to Get Social Assistance

"A number of recipients were found to be not on target because they no longer met the criteria after the evaluation process by matching data with various sources. Then they were removed from the list of recipients," he said, Saturday (5/24).

Those who were removed from the recipient list, he added, were individuals who had died, moved their domicile outside Jakarta, had duplicate data, were not recorded in the population system, had a NJOP above Rp 1 billion and owned a four-wheeled vehicle.

Next, Jakarta Provincial Government will provide further verification and validation to select the next stage social assistance recipients.

According to him, this program is part of efforts to accelerate poverty alleviation in Jakarta.

"Jakarta Provincial Government hopes the social assistance reach can be expanded and more targeted and sustainable. It is in line with the Jakarta's vision as an inclusive global city," he stated.
