Abang None Foundation Expected to Support Jakarta's Cultural and Tourism Development

Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno urges the Abang None Foundation to play a more active role in enhancing the tourism sector and cultural development in Jakarta.

"The enhancement of tourism and cultural aspects can impact the economy,"

Rano hopes that the Abang None Foundation can develop integrative programs aligned with the Jakarta Provincial Government's activities in developing tourism and culture.

"We can create many programs because we are currently promoting culture. Therefore, I feel the presence of the Abang None Foundation is very necessary," said Rano after the 'Langkah Abang None Jakarta Generasi Penerus Bangsa' session at Jakarta Marketing Week, held at Kota Kasablanka Mall, Tebet, South Jakarta, on Sunday (5/25).

Rano emphasized that the Abang None Foundation, which serves as a forum for Abang None Jakarta alumni after completing their duties, cannot be separated from the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Therefore, Rano hopes they can continue to contribute to the development of culture and tourism in Jakarta.

He exemplified that the Abang None Foundation could play a role in providing cultural education in schools, as well as act as part of the marketing of the tourism industry and creative economy.

"I hope the Abang None Foundation can boost all aspects of Jakarta's tourism industry. Thus, the enhancement of tourism and cultural aspects can impact the economy," he conveyed.

Rano revealed that strengthening culture and supporting tourism aspects are very important, especially to increase visits or hotel occupancy in Jakarta.

"Every week during Car Free Day, there is music and culture to increase the number of people coming to Jakarta. This means we capture and create packages so they can stay in hotels," he mentioned.
