Council Holds Plenary Session to Deliver Governor's Responses Regarding Three Draft Regional Regulations

Jakarta City Council held a plenary meeting to hear the Jakarta Governor's response to the general views of the factions on three Regional Regulations Drafts (Raperda). The three regulations drafts include the 2025–2029 RPJMD, Education Implementation, and Smoking-Free Areas.

Governor will deliver his response

The plenary meeting was led by Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin at Jakarta City Council Building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (5/27).

Khoirudin said that all City Council factions had provided questions, responses, and requests for explanations regarding the three regional regulations drafts as the subject of discussion with the executive.

"And today the Governor will deliver his response to the general views of the factions," said Khoirudin.

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, in his response, appreciated for all input, questions, and support from City Council factions. He emphasized that the executive has tried to respond to every viewpoint comprehensively.

"Due to many input and questions, please allow me to convey several strategic matters," Pramono said.

Pramono also proposed that detailed technical discussions be continued in a joint meeting with the Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda).

Furthermore, Pramono hopes that the three regional regulations draft could be approved and stipulated as Regional Regulations (Perda) according to the schedule that had been determined through the Deliberative Body (Bamus).

He emphasized that the Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to continuing to encourage Jakarta to become a global city and a competitive economic center, and capable of improving the resident welfare.

"The entire executive level, would like to thank to the chairman, vice chairman and all members of the board for their attention and response to the explanation that has been submitted," he stated.
