Rano Evaluates Upgrades at Lebak Bulus Park and Ride

The parking area for two and four-wheeled vehicles has been revitalized by PT MRT Jakarta.

" In revitalizing Lebak Bulus Park and Ride, MRT has implemented both short and long-term arrangements," he mentioned, Wednesday (6/4).

Rano explained that the completed short-term arrangement includes adding parking lots, building canopies, toilets, installing automatic gates and a cashless payment system.

In the long-term, this parking building will be equipped with retail and residential units which is planned to begin cnstruction in approximately three years.

According to him, after revitalization, the management has implemented an integrated payment system for MRT fares through Maxride. This revitalization has led to a change in motorcycle parking fees from a flat rate Rp 2,000 to Rp 2,000 per hour, with a maximum of Rp 10,000.

Meanwhile, car parking fees have changed from a flat rate of Rp 5,000 to Rp 5,000 per hour, with a maximum of Rp 20,000.

This fee adjustment is emphasized as a consequence of the revitalization investment.

"The parking fee has certainly considered the rates of other parking areas around this region. However, we still provide flat-rate parking on the west side," he added.

PT MRT Jakarta President Director Tuhiyat explained that before the revitalization, the Lebak Bulus Park and Ride area could only accommodate 700 motorcycles and 200 cars.

After revitalization, the parking area can now accommodate 2,370 motorcycles and an additional 40-50 car parking spaces.

"Hopefully, this can facilitate residents who wish to use public transportation, such as MRT or Transjakarta, from Lebak Bulus," he conveyed.
