Jakarta Offers Rp 1 Transit Fare to Mark 498 Years

In commemoration the Jakarta's 498th anniversary, the Jakarta Government is offering a special flat rate of Rp 1 for public transportation, from Transjakarta, Jakarta light rail transit (LRT) to Jakarta mass rapid transit (MRT).

Hopefully, this service can be optimally enjoyed by all residents

This service is effective for 24 hours on June 22, 2025, from 12 AM to 11:59 PM.

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo said, this policy is a form of appreciation to residents who have used public transportation and encourages more people to switch from private vehicles to mass public transport.

"This is also supported by extended operating hours on several routes, especially to support residents' mobility during the peak night celebration of Jakarta's anniversary," he expressed, Thursday (6/19).

It is also ensured that the Mikrotrans service, Transjakarta Cares, and other Transjakarta services that already have a zero fare will continue to operate as usual without any changes in fare policies.

This decision is made based on several regional regulations, including bylaws and Gubernatorial regulations that govern the mass transportation system in Jakarta, as well as the successful experience of implementing special tariffs and the addition of previous service operations.

He added that the Jakarta Government wants to invite its residents to celebrate the city’s anniversary in an environmentally friendly, economical, and comfortable way.

"Hopefully, this service can be optimally enjoyed by all residents," he stated.

Here is the addition of operating hours specifically for:

• Transjakarta: Routes serving the celebration points for the Jakarta anniversary peak night will be extended until 1 AM on June 23, 2025

• MRT Jakarta: Will operate longer from 5 AM on June 22 to 1 AM on June 23, 2025

• Jakarta LRT: Will operate fully on June 22, 2025
