The Cawang Urban Village, Kramat Jati Sub-district, East Jakarta has started to beautify its area with ornaments and umbul-umbul (decorative flags), as well as environmental arrangement, to welcome Jakarta's 498th anniversary.

Mural theme is certainly related to city's anniversary

Cawang Urban Village Head, Didik Diarjo said, they had instructed the RT/RW administrators, building owners, and office managers to jointly celebrate city's anniversary.

"We convey instructions through a circular letter," he expressed, Thursday (6/19).

He deployed 30 PPSU officers to arrange the environment. Kanstine painting was being done on Jalan Dewi Sartika. Then, murals would be made in three strategic locations.

"Mural theme is certainly related to city's anniversary and welcoming five centuries of Jakarta. In painting this mural, we collaborated with the private sector," he explained.

He also invited all residents to continue maintaining environmental cleanliness and safety in the area.

"Let us welcome death with joy and determination together to protect and advance Jakarta," he explained.

RW 05 Chairman, Cawang Urban Village, Chusnul Chotimah expressed, she had followed up on the instructions by installing umbul-umbul in her area.

"Hopefully, Jakarta can become more advanced and its residents more prosperous," she hoped.
