No Parcel For Officials and Civil Servants, Ahok Says

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama asserted that Jakarta Civil Servants under City Administration are prohibited to receive parcel gifts. It is in accordance with the policy of Corruption Eradication Commission's (KPK).

If you (civil servant) receive parcel, this is graft

Therefore, former Regent of East Belitung warned all civil servants to comply the KPK's policy. It was also already imposed in previous years. “If you (civil servant) receive parcel, this is graft,” said Ahok, at City Hall, Friday (6/26).

Officials and PNS Prohibited to Accept Parcel

Ahok acknowledged that if the officials or civil servants catch someone receive parcel, report it to related unit soon. “This is a rule, so we have to comply it,” he expressed.

Besides that, he also warned the officials and civil servants not to use official car during Idul Fitri holiday. “It was also imposed in previous years. This is strictly prohibited,” he stressed.

As known, the KPK issued a policy that saying officials and civil servants prohibited to receive parcel or gift from any party. They are also prohibited to request parcel, gift or other facilities from private sector, including by utilizing state assets for the sake of individual interest. If the case is detected, please report it to related unit by no later than 30 days.
