Satpol PP Gears Up to Secure Events for City's Anniversary

Jakarta Satpol PP deployed hundreds of personnel at strategic event points to support the smoothness and security of the series of activities celebrating Jakarta's 498th anniversary.

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Satriadi Gunawan said, security was coordinated together with other related elements such as the police, army, and  Transportation Agency to ensure that activities run orderly and conducive.

"We assign personnel as needed at each location as part of security support. Satpol PP is present to ensure that the entire series of events runs safely, orderly, and comfortably for the public," he expressed, Saturday (6/21).

Later on, some 70 personnel would be deployed for the security of the anniversary ceremony at Monas, 55 personnel for the Reception and Plenary Meeting at the City Council building, 100 personnel for the security of Jakarta's Anniversary Night at Lapangan Banteng, and 200 personnel to escort the anniversary celebrations in the Kota Tua area.

They were also responsible for ensuring public order and maintaining the comfort of visitors attending each event.

"By so, hopefully, the entire series of Jakarta's anniversary celebrations can proceed safely and become a happy moment for all residents of the capital," he stated.
