Residents Deliver Their Hope for Jakarta's 498th Anniversary

On the way to the 500 years old of Jakarta, several people have voiced their hopes for Jakarta Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Pramono Anung and Vice Governor Rano Karno.

Aka Martadinata (52), resident of Pejaten, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta hopes Pramono and Rano can protect residents in all matters.

"Health and education are two main things that Jakarta residents really need," he said, Sunday (5/22).

He admitted that several work programs that Jakarta residents have enjoyed during the 100 days of Pramono-Rano's leadership in the education sector, namely the addition of recipients of the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus.

"Many underprivileged people who were previously removed as KJP recipients no have received the assistance again. It also includes the assistance for people with disabilities," he added.

He hopes Jakarta Provincial Government will initiate many programs  for the sake of its residents welfare.

"Jakarta will advance as a global city by preserving its native culture. I believe in that," he said.

Meanwhile, Yogi Permana (17), a student of SMAN 2 West Jakarta hopes Jakarta will continue to develop and be able to compete with big cities around the world.

He also hopes that the Governor and Vice Governor will continue providing attention to the education sector by adding KJP Plus and Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) recipients.

"For the young generation in Jakarta who are unable to achieve their dreams, this educational funding assistance program is helpful much," he stated.
