The rampant of drugs or food contains hazardous substances in capital makes the Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) to tighten the monitoring of the products in the markets by cooperating with BPOM (Food and Drug Monitoring Agency).
Basuki said, the cooperation between Jakarta Provincial Government and BPOM is aimed to crack down markets that sell the food contains of hazardous substances.

"We cooperate with Jakarta Provincial to fulfill the people's needs in their nutrition. After the controlling effort for hazardous substances, we will report the result to lab. Later, the traders who caught selling the hazardous substances will be guided by BPOM and Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Agency (KUMKMP)," she uttered.
