THR Payable 2 Weeks Before Idul Fitri

The company owners in South Jakarta are appealed to pay the annual bonuses (THR) 2 weeks before Idul Fitri. It is conducted in order to the employees and labors can freely shop for Idul Fitri.

" We appeal companies to give THR 2 weeks before Idul Fitri thus employees can use it freely for shopping and homecoming ," said Head of South Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Sub-Department, Crisnawati, Sunday (6/28)

Crinawati mentions there are 7,474 companies in South Jakarta which employ 588,434 employees, "We have held socialization to the companies about the rule of giving THR," she continued.

She asked the employees to make a complaint to South Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Sub-Department if there is a violation indication of THR payment. "We wants all employees to give us a report if there is a trouble related to THR," he asked. 

In accordance to Employment Ministry's Regulation Number: PER 04/MEN/1994 on Religious Holiday of Employee in Company, each company obligate to give THR to the employees who have working period over 3 months or more. 

Based on the regulations, the employees who have been working for 12 months continuously or more have a rights to receive THR amounted to 1 month salary. While for more than 3 months and less than 12 months, the THR must be given proportionally. 

"If there is company which not give THR in latest 1 week before the celebration will be given administration sanction," she asserted.
