Pramono Targets RDF Rorotan to Operate by End of August

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung targets to operate Rorotan Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant, North Jakarta on August 22. Pramono ensured that the commissioning process would be carried out in stages before operating the facility.

"Mudah-mudahan tanggal 22 Agustus itu betul-betul sudah selesai,"

Pramono also ensured the addition of deodorizers to handle the odor in the production plant and warehouse areas that also disturb the surrounding community. He hopes that the installation of all additional equipment to overcome the odor can be completed before the RDF Plant is fully operated.

"I will invite the press to visit the facility to see the improvement according to the last meeting with the surrounding residents," he added.

Pramono also highlighted the potential of the Rorotan RDF Plant facility for waste management in the Bekasi area. Pramono is confident that this facility will also be able to accommodate waste from Bekasi.

"Sooner or later, we will also process waste from Bekasi at the facility," he continued.

He stated that during the previous commissioning process, most of the odor complaints came from Bekasi residents. Therefore, the resolution of this problem is carried out not only for Jakarta residents, but also for residents in the surrounding areas, including Bekasi.

"We want to solve this problem not only for Jakarta residents, but also its surrounding areas including Bekasi," he stated.
