Komisi E Dukung Penambahan Anggaran KJP Plus di APBD Perubahan 2025

Commission E Supports Increase in KJP Plus Budget

Secretary of Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission E, Justin Adrian, has voiced his support for the Jakarta Provincial Government's plan to increase KJP Plus coverage for more students.

"We see this positively, because our children really need this support,"

He stated that the Jakarta Education Agency has proposed an additional budget of around Rp 1 trillion during the draft discussion of the revised General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Priority and Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) 2025.

"Basically, there are quite a few budget increase proposals for Education Agency. First, to broaden the reach of KJP Plus recipients, and second, to support the free school program that is currently in the trial phase," he explained on Wednesday (7/9).

According to him, the Education Agency proposed an increase in its budget ceiling from Rp18 trillion to around Rp19 trillion. Justin welcomed the increase as it is aimed at meeting the needs of Jakarta's students.

"We see this positively, because our children really need this support. However, going forward, we also hope for greater participation from parents, especially once the free school program is fully implemented," he added.

On the other hand, Deputy Chairperson of Commission E, Agustina Hermanto, said the revised budget discussions also included additional allocation for 707,622 KJP Plus student recipients.

"Yesterday, we in DPRD and Governor agreed to increase the number of KJP recipients to more than 700,000 students. During the meeting with Education Agency, we ensured that the budget was included in the revised City Budget (APBD)," she explained.
