He stated that the Jakarta Education Agency has proposed an additional budget of around Rp 1 trillion during the draft discussion of the revised General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Priority and Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) 2025.
"Basically, there are quite a few budget increase proposals for Education Agency. First, to broaden the reach of KJP Plus recipients, and second, to support the free school program that is currently in the trial phase," he explained on Wednesday (7/9).

"We see this positively, because our children really need this support . However, going forward, we also hope for greater participation from parents, especially once the free school program is fully implemented," he added.
On the other hand, Deputy Chairperson of Commission E, Agustina Hermanto, said the revised budget discussions also included additional allocation for 707,622 KJP Plus student recipients.
"Yesterday, we in DPRD and Governor agreed to increase the number of KJP recipients to more than 700,000 students. During the meeting with Education Agency, we ensured that the budget was included in the revised City Budget (APBD)," she explained.
