Ring Roads in Seribu Islands will Be Widened

The whole ring road is located next to the inhabited island in Seribu Islands will be widened in the near future.

We'll make two lanes in the project

Millions of Mangrove Planted in Seribu Islands

Seribu Islands Administration Regent, Tri Djoko Sri Margianto said the widening project for roads in Seribu Islands has been ongoing in Pramuka Island. The road will be widened from three becomes six meters.

“We'll make two lanes in the project,” he stated, Thursday (7/2).

In Margianto’s opinion, such project can brings three benefits. Besides holding coastal abrasion, the project can also become a island fence as illegal building construction from locals on the edge of the beach. “This ring road is done to fence off the island and make surrounding the beach as looking forward,” he expressed.

Previously, the ring roads that spread in several islands like Pramuka, Tidung, Untung Jawa and other inhabited islands had only 3 meters wide. Later on, they would be widened up to 6 meters. While, those other islands which have no ring road will be soon auctioned at the beginning of 2016.
