North Jakarta Residents Invited to Visit Historical and Cultural Sites

As many as 300 people representing City Council TP PKK, DWP, community and college students participating the historical and cultural objects visit 2025 activity initiated by North Jakarta Cultural Sub-agency.

This adds new experiences and insights for them

North Jakarta City Secretary, Fredy Setiawan appreciated the sub-agency's for providing this activity. This activity aims to introduce and increase public insight into historical and cultural objects in North Jakarta.

"This adds new experiences and insights for them," he said, Thursday (8/14).

Fredy advised that participants could document their activities and share them with their families and friends. This would help increase awareness of North Jakarta's historical sites, which would then lead to more museum visits.

"Hopefully this visit can be a beautiful memory, strengthen friendship and increase insight," he added.

Jakarta City Council Member, Oman Rohman Rakinda, welcomed and appreciated this activity. He considered the museum visit a positive and worthy endeavor. She also hoped that participants would take the activity seriously so they could share the knowledge they gained with their families and friends.

"Many mothers participated. It means they also need a vacation. We will continue to support community activities like this. North Jakarta is rich in coastal history and culture," he said.

Acting Head of North Jakarta Cultural Sub-agency, Mis'ari, stated these visits to historical and cultural sites are a routine activity. The goal is to increase public awareness of the cultural heritage and historical value of North Jakarta.

"This activity is held for two days. 300 participants participate today's activity, then another 300 people to attend the activity tomorrow, Friday (8/15). They will visit two museums namely Rumah Si Pitung Cilincing and Bahari Penjaringan," he stated.

Meanwhile, one of the participants representing city-level TP PKK, Farida (55) admitted happy to participate the activity. 

"We were invited on a free trip to the museum. Later on, we can tell our grandchildren about this history. So they can visit this destination too," he admitted.
